Research & Other Programs
We fund and support research projects that reinforce the objectives of the Foundation and collaborate with organisations whose vision aligns with our own. The research we undertake will give us evidence to support the production of practical, real-world guides, principles and procedures that will give a better quality of life to those who need it. By sharing the findings of our research
We have already begun research with some of the leading research organisations in Australia and, to continue to build knowledge and positively impact the wellbeing and quality of life of our elders, we will continue to partner with organisations to undertake innovative research programs that shape how we move forward.
There is a desperate need to find ways to improve the quality of life of the elderly. There is very little scientific knowledge around the world in this area, so there is a high probability of making significant improvement relatively quickly. We believe that food practices are one of the key areas to impact everyday life.
Wellbeing Gardens Program
In 2017 we were able to provide grants to Aged Care homes in regional New South Wales to support them in implementing or improving existing Wellbeing Gardens. Each home embraced the opportunity, involving residents, staff, and in some cases, local TAFE students in the design and building of these spaces.
In 2018 we hope to be able to provide further funding to support this initiative in other areas.
